Before reading the Indian news paper article below, it bears noting that there is an error in its reporting.

 

Sean did NOT have a cleft; the medical mishaps that preceded his death were feeding-tube/radiology related.

 

We simply chose Smile Train to receive Sean's malpractice lawsuit settlement award because it provided the biggest direct impact to the most children,

 

 They also used 100% of our donation for the actual children's surgeries.

 

 Smile Train did not provide this misinformation to reporters, it was simply a misunderstanding. Nice that the paper thought enough to do a story, though...
